5 Days of #BlissGifts [Day 5]

Posted in Lifestyle
on December 7, 2016

We all have that friend who spends more time at the gym than they do shopping. Instead of getting your BFF or family member something they won’t use, why not try one of these five picks that are $30 or less. You’ll love these options that won’t break the bank. You’ll feel a little bliss in your life knowing you got a gift your loved one will love!

1| Find Your Balance T-Shirt from Old Navy, $10

I am all about finding fun, unique and inspirational T-Shirts for working out. What better way to keep your bestie or sister motivated to keep working out than cute workout gear! There are so many awesome options at Old Navy that are very inexpensive.

2| Workout Gloves from Target, $13

Now I know you’re thinking, “Why would I ever buy my friend that, even if they love to work out?!” Trust me, whether they’re lifting weights, or doing a weight-training cardio class, these will always come in handy for your fitness friend.

3| Yoga Mat from Target, $30

I know many people who aren’t into yoga, and still use a yoga mat for warming up/cooling down stretches, ab workouts, Pilates and more. I love that there are so many different colors and patterns, so this can be a personal gift for a friend or family member.

4| Water Bottle from, $20

Who doesn’t want this water bottle? And who doesn’t feel this way about working out? I know that any fitness and health lover would still LOVE this gift because pizza is e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. amiright? Adding a quirky item for someone’s present is the best way to complete a gift.

5| Foam Roller from Target, $28

I can’t tell you how great it is to have your own foam roller whether your run, lift or even if you’re not a person who works out everyday. This can even be for someone you know who needs to give their muscles a little TLC. It’s a gift that will be appreciated by any fitness lover.

Whether you’re spending the night at a friend’s home, or your family member’s home for a long weekend; there will be a time where you’ll need a proper hostess gift. Or, maybe you have a sister who LOVES to cook. Regardless of the scenario, check out all these incredible gifts from Anthropologie that are all less than $40, so you can guarantee that there’s something in your price range!

There are so many old trends that are coming back in style, and cookbooks are one of them. There are all different types of cook books perfect for whoever you decide to buy this gift for. Whether they love Italian food, desserts, or party appetizers; you will find one your recipient can use!

2| Coasters, $6

Who doesn’t use coasters, especially if you’re gift recipient is hosting a ton of dinners and family gatherings! Give a simple gift that will pair well with their home. I personally love these simple, sleek copper coasters that will work perfectly in any home!

3| Measuring Cups, $34

Whether you want to buy themed measuring cups for your favorite cat-obsessed friend, or you want to go a little more classic and traditional with these measuring cups, these are an essential for any cook or baker. You can be certain this gift won’t go to waste in the kitchen.

4| Marble Serving Board, $38

5 Days of #BlissGifts [Day2]

Posted in Fashion, Lifestyle
on November 30, 2016

Another day means another gift guide to make sure you have a little bliss this #blissmas while you’re shopping for everyone on your list. Today, we’re covering five gifts for the fashionista in your life who loves everything from jewelry to clothes.

1| Watch Set from Francesca’s, $34

I think it’s great to buy a watch gift set like this one because not only can you wear the watch on its own, but you can also pair it with several different bracelets to spice up her look for that particular day. It’s several pieces of jewelry in one gift, so you get your bang for your buck with this pick.

2| Crossbody Bag from DSW, $20

Crossbody bags are something that everyone can use whether they have one already or not. I always try to stick with neutral colors when giving gifts to a fellow Fashionista so that they can easily pair it with several things in their closet.

3| Blanket Scarf from Express, $40

Maybe it’s just me, but there’s no way you can ever go wrong with a big, heavy blanket scarf. Especially during the winter months, everyone can add a scarf or two into their collection to get through the rest of winter even after the holidays.

4| Poncho Sweater from LOFT, $75 (take an extra 40%)

This is a gift that’s perfect for the woman in your life whether they love quirky, festive Christmas sweaters, or they’re interested in a classic, trendy piece like this hybrid between a poncho and a traditional sweater. When in doubt, a sweater is always a good option for a Fashionista.

5| Statement Necklace from Francesca’s, $28

I feel like statement necklaces have been losing their hype over 2016 as we have seen chokers take over the fashion scene. But, I think it’s always good to keep your recipient in mind. If they’re trendy, buy a choker necklace. If they’re classic, buy a neutral, statement necklace.

5 Days of #BlissGifts [Day 1]

Posted in Lifestyle
on November 28, 2016

Happy #Blissmas, friends! The gift guides are back a little early this year.

This year, I plan to do the same with some different guides for anyone on your list with gifts that are in a range of prices. Make sure to stay up-to-date on #blissmas and the 5 days of #blissgifts by keeping up with me on Twitter and Instagram!

Let’s get into today’s gift guide, which is for the Techies and gadget-loving friends and family members in your life. Personally, I always think of my brother when I create this guide because he’s always into new gadgets and little quirky items.

1| Video Drone from Best Buy, $80

Although you can buy drones in all different sizes and prices, I think the $60 to $80 range is the best bang for your buck if you’re actually going to use it for video footage, but you don’t need an over-the-top, expensive model. You can pick these up at many electronic shops this season.

2| 3Doolder Pen Gift Set from Urban Outfitters, $99

I’m not going to lie, I think this gift would be amazing to give and receive even if you’re not into tech gifts and items on this list. (Or, maybe that’s just me.) But how cool and unique would this gift be if it’s within your price range? I’d say to go for it!

3| Prynt Photo Printer from Urban Outfitters, $150

Print instant photos from your iPhone! Attach the Prynt case to your phone, take a photo and print it out. If you have any Millennial friends and family members in your life, they would love this gift. It’s the most expensive gift on the list, but I wanted to include different price ranges for everyone.

4| Phone Mount from Urban Outfitters, $16

I would use this all the time if I were to receive this gift (hint hint to any family/friends reading, haha!) I think it would be great to have if you’re watching a tutorial while working on a project, or if you’re watching a video while you’re working.

5| Smartphone Projector from Uncommon Goods, $28

This projector accommodates any phone, and displays videos on a wall with 8x magnification. Slide the back compartment in and out to focus the image, then let the glass lens magnify without using a power source. It’s the perfect gift for anyone who loves their extreme YouTube binges.

Which gift was your favorite? What other items would you add to this list? Is there anyone on your list you need a tech gift for? Make sure to share in the comments below!

Top 10 Holiday Movies

Posted in Lifestyle
on November 21, 2016

I know you don’t want to admit it, but for me—the holidays are officially here even if you choose to think differently. This means you can listen to Christmas music and watch holiday movies as much as you’d like without being judged. Since we have such a short amount of time to enjoy all these movies, I think it’s best to begin as soon as possible! Today I’m sharing my top 10 favorite holiday movies I have to watch every single year.

10| Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

There is no better classic than this holiday movie! I’ve always loved this movie growing up, so it’s still something I enjoy watching year after year. In fact, I named a deer that lives near our house after Cornelius from this movie!  (Maybe not the best fitting name for a deer, haha!)

9| It’s A Wonderful Life

A holiday movie that brings and reminds me that there are so many reasons to be thankful for where we are in life, and that we are here for a reason. If you love classic, traditional films; you need to make time for It’s a Wonderful Life as soon as possible.

8| A Christmas Carol

Another holiday movies that always makes me think each year I watch it. I love the older film in addition to the newer, animated film with Jim Carrey. Both versions are wonderful and definitely have several lessons we all should be reminded of during this time of year.

7| Frosty The Snowman

Another classic film I feel like you NEED to watch every holiday season is Frosty the Snowman. This easily brings me back to my childhood because I loved to sing and knew so many lines from this even when I was young.

6| How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Whether it’s the animated version or the Jim Carrey version, I think this is another movie you always have to play once a year during the holidays. Bring a little holiday cheer to your life, and pop in this film to take you right back to your childhood.

5| A Christmas Story

I know a ton of people are going to disagree with me on this one because they don’t see this as a “classic” Christmas movie. For me, it is because my family keeps this movie on all-day long on Christmas Day, so it is the epitome of Christmas in my eyes.

4| The Polar Express

It took me quite a long time before I watched this movie! I knew so many people who were in love with it a few years back, and I never knew what the hype was until I watched it. The soundtrack to this movie is incredible, and I love that it features Tom Hanks.

3| Home Alone

Josh might be a little disappointed that this movie isn’t number one on my list because it’s his personal favorite Christmas movie (and movie in general). He can literally recite every line. This movie is something my family would watch every year, so it’s a little sentimental to me around the holidays.

2| A Charlie Brown Christmas

If you can buy a “Charlie Brown Christmas Tree” based form this movie, it MUST be a good movie. I will say that nothing reminds me more of the holiday season than seeing this is on TV, and having hot chocolate while watching it.

1| Elf

You’ll either love me or hate me for this opinion, but I love Elf; and I know many more people who love it more than I do (I’m looking at you, Michele!) I love this funny, but festive film because it’s so different from every other Christmas movie. Plus, I’m a huge fan of Will Ferrell.

What other holiday movies should I add to this list? What’s your favorite holiday movie? Make sure to leave a comment below!
