5 Looks I’m Lusting For: December

Another month means that I can share what looks I’m lusting for this month. December fashion is a lot like late-fall fashion: tons of layers and a lot of different accessories. I love being able to share what has been inspiring my style, so grab a cup of coffee (or wine) and feel little bliss as we talk about these lovely outfits.

Things I’m currently loving, nude details like this blanket scarf and over-the-knee boots; and finding simple ways to elevate your comfortable outfit! Who says that leggings and a flowy top can’t look fashionable and stylish? What’s not to love about this look?

Layers are everything in December. In Pennsylvania, I live off of cold-weather necessities like big sweaters. But, I love how this outfit takes a bulky sweater, and adds a more feminine vibe with the long-sleeved, white blouse. It adds a unique, unexpected element to the look.img_7653

I’m absolutely L U S T I N G  for this long, grey cardigan. I can imagine that it feels like wearing a blanket outside, but it’s adorable and perfectly acceptable to wear in public, especially for winter. Layering this with a bulky, turtleneck sweater dress only makes this look more complete.

I don’t know why but I’ve been so interested in leopard-printed shoes recently, but I’ve been on the hunt of pair of them for awhile now. This outfit only motivates my drive to find a pair for myself I also love how they look with a bold, red sweater. I’m a big believer that leopard and red look stunning together. Personally, I think this outfit would be perfect for a holiday party.

winter-fashion-camel-coat-scarfPom-pom hats are totally in style, and I’m loving it. Whether you’re on the hunt for a perfect Christmas tree, or you’re out and about shopping for everyone on your list; this outfit is perfect for all your holiday errands. I love the pops of blue and green against the neutrals in this look. It’s a simple outfit that is versatile for December.

5 Minimalist Outfits for Autumn

Minimalism is something I’m learning and incorporating more into my every day life. So far, I’ve been loving every minute of it. I feel less stressed, more focused, and happier with adopting some of the minimalist habits.

One area I’ve been focusing on the last few months is my style. Last month, I shared my September edition of “5 Looks I’m Lusting For,” which featured more neutral-only and neutral-based looks. If you knew me five years ago, I was obsessed with bright colors. There was actually a period in time where I didn’t own any black. (I was young and stupid, don’t judge—haha!) Flash forward to present day, and more than 60 percent of my wardrobe contains neutrals.

I want to share my progression of style, and where I see my style going in the future with this minimalist mindset. So, I’m sharing five minimalist outfits you can wear for Autumn! I hope you find a little inspiration from these looks, and can incorporate them into your your wardrobe for the season.

Make sure to leave a comment below telling me about your personal style, and how it has evolved over the years!

There’s nothing better than bulky sweaters, cute coats, and booties for the season. Aside from all the trendy pieces, it’s chic because of the neutral colors. People think minimalists only wear black and white, but you can wear colors and still be a minimalist. As long as you find a color palette that works for you and your style, and only have essentials that you can mix with several outfits, you are on the right track!

25 Great New Outfits For Your Winter Lookbook - Style Estate -Everything about this look is #FALLFASHIONGOALS. I’m not going to lie, everything about this makes me fall in love with the idea of dressing minimally. I love an all-black outfit with the addition of the contrasting color to make things pop. In this case, the light, nude heels and coat paired together makes the entire outfit more vibrant yet classic. 739c48c51e76887fd2e9d12192349068I love to throw in a wildcard option that’s out of my comfort zone. As a working woman, I don’t think I could ever pull off a dressy element like a midi skirt and pair it with casual sneakers like the photos above. But, never say never. I love this look, and I like that there’s a contrast from professional and comfortable mixed together. Who knows, maybe I’ll rock some sneakers with a skirt for this season.8fcf2e39aae7e67b381c2b89fd39cb38“Doe she only like camel-colored coats?!” No, definitely not. But I will say I think they’re an amazing color to pull off during Autumn, so I might as well show you some options while you’re reading through this post. Again, an all-black outfit for the base of the outfit paired with another neutral like camel makes the outfit pop! I’m definitely in the market for a camel coat after writing this post.

8ff10ff2d6fc564e5e109cd4cc7bfdf9This is a perfect example that you don’t need to only wear black and white to have a minimal outfit. Adding little pops of color and patterns can pull the entire look together. I love the addition of a burgundy bag with these fun, leopard flats. This adds a little excitement to a simple, comfortable look. I’ve been on the hunt for leopard flats, and hoping I can find some as cute as these above!

5 Looks I’m Lusting For: September

bb9916_5 Looks I'm Lusting ForAnother month underway means another month of sharing new looks I’m lusting for. I will say that ever since I cleared out my wardrobe this year, I’ve noticed my style has changed for the better. Before, I had no set of adjectives that described the style I wanted to portray. Now, I know my style consists of casual chic pieces that will never go out of style. My wardrobe is more centered around neutral hues like black, white, gray, tan, and creams with a mix of cooler tones like blues, purples, etc.

With this month’s “5 Looks I’m Lusting For,” I hope to show more photos that will reflect the style I’m moving toward at this stage of my life.

Everything about this outfit is #FallGoals. I love the mix of the light tan cardigan, booties and hat against the soft white top, paired with denim. This look is a staple if you’re running errands, grabbing a cup of coffee with a friend, or spending the day shopping. I love versatile outfits like this for fall that are neutral, simple but you look put together.

I’m definitely into denim this fall because I love the different styles that are popping up in the fashion space for this season. I love the look of relaxed, slightly distressed denim for fall. I’m also loving the trend of long, knee-length cardigans for fall, which you can see more of in my fall fashion wish list here. Of course, you can never go wrong with a bulky scarf.

Black and white with a pop of nude—what more could you ask for? The goal I want to achieve with my outfits for fall is a mix of comfortable clothing, but I still look like I have my life together. Emily does that with every single outfit on her blog. Personally, I’m loving the big, comfy sweaters that are like walking around with a blanket on you for the day.

I always post an outfit that’s out of my comfort zone in terms of style or trends. The edgy vibe doesn’t suit my personality, but I’m always open to trying different things. For Nichole, this look suits her perfectly. I’m hoping to branch out a little more with the trends and style I have in my wardrobe like these edgy boots and tops with cut-outs in them.
