It’s fascinating to step into someone’s life. I love to learn more about people and what they do throughout the day. Since beginning my 9-5 job, my daily routine has change quite drastically. I also plan to post a “Day in my Life” weekend edition, so you can see the differences in my weekday routine verses my weekend routine.
I begin my day at 7 in the morning. I’m trying to hopefully wake up at 6:30, so I can do a short, 20-minute workout each morning before beginning the day. However, that hasn’t happened yet, but don’t worry—I’m working on it!
It only takes me 30 minutes to wash my face, brush my teeth, apply makeup, do my hair, get dressed, and make the bed. I essentially have my morning routine down pat, and I love that because it makes the mornings more enjoyable.
This is when I take time to publish my blog posts, share them on social media, etc. I read and comment on some of my favorite bloggers, so I don’t worry about it later after work. I also eat breakfast (my go-to is oatmeal with cinnamon and blueberries) and have coffee.
I’ll drive to work and talk to my parents on the phone (don’t worry it’s on Bluetooth) each morning. I’m very close with my parents, so I love taking ten minutes out of the day to say hello, and chat about anything that has been going on.
I’m fortunate to say I love my job. Evey day is different. I could be planning an event one day, put out new marketing materials on property, or meeting with companies for sponsorship, marketing and advertising opportunities. As a Marketing Director, my job is a mix of social media, marketing, event planning, PR and advertising.
This changes depending on if it’s a Monday/Wednesday (Josh and I will workout and run/walk during our interval training for an hour) or a Tuesday/Thursday (I’ll cook meals for the upcoming days, and get myself dinner.)
Again, this can changes on those certain days because Josh works Tuesday and Thursday nights. On those days, I’ll blog, clean, read, relax, or run errands depending what needs to be done. On Monday and Wednesdays, Josh and I will eat dinner, prep for the next day, watch TV/spend time together.
I try to stop social media scrolling at 10 p.m., so that I can begin my evening routine and prep for bed. It’s lights out for me around 10:30 or 11 at night. This is very early for some people, but I make sleep a priority, so I need my eight hours each night.
