Review: Simple Cleansing Micellar Water

BB4416-1

I feel like I haven’t done a beauty review in quite some time. I’m excited to write a review of a product I’ve been obsessed with for the last few weeks. I didn’t include it in my March Favorites because I knew this product deserved a review all on its own.

For the last six months, I’ve been contemplating changing my night routine as far as how I remove makeup. For the last two years, I’ve used Burt’s Bees facial cleansing towelettes. Although this was a good method to remove makeup, over time, the wipes became too harsh to use on my face. Since my skin tends to be more dry, the cleansing wipes weren’t helping my cause.

I turned to the internet to look for new methods for removing makeup. I don’t know about you guys, but I take changing my daily routine very seriously. I research product reviews and first impressions videos to watch and learn about what products will be best for my skin.

When I stumbled this cleansing water from Simple, I was apprehensive because I was used to removing makeup with makeup remover wipes. This was a foreign concept to me. Despite my urge to continue using the same product, I purchased a bottle from Target (along with 100 other things not on my list).

What I love most about this cleansing water is how hydrated my skin feels after taking off my makeup. When I was using wipes, my skin felt dull and dry, which isn’t a good feeling before bed. I noticed I had several dry patches on my skin, so it needed some major TLC. This formula is made with Triple Purified Water and multi-vitamins, which aids in hydration.

I also love the ease of incorporating this product in your nighttime routine. You don’t even have to rinse the product off, or worry about washing your face afterwards. However, after a long day, I do quickly wash my face to ensure my skin is clean before bed. After, I apply my night moisturizer and I’m all set for the night. It’s that easy.

Compared to makeup remover wipes, I love that this micellar water lasts a long time. You don’t need a ton of product for this cleansing water to work its magic. So, you definitely get your money worth of it if you’re on a budget.

Overall, I don’t have any negative comments about this product, which is rather rare for me—and it is why I wanted to write up a review about the cleansing micellar water. I’m sure it will become a staple in my beauty routine for years to come.

Have you ever tried this product from Simple? If you have, share your thoughts in the comments below!

I actually really love this stuff! I received my first bottle from Influenster and loved it. Now I buy the cleansing wipes. Great review thanks for sharing! http://petiteheartbeat.com

    • I feel like it’s such a great product, and I love how it doesn’t irritate my skin. Thanks so much for your comment!

  • I recently heard about micellar water and was really curious, so thanks for sharing your opinion! I have pretty sensitive skin and Simple products have worked in the past so I may check this out!

    • I would definitely recommend it if you do have sensitive skin because it leaves me skin feeling refreshed and soft for the evening.

I haven’t tried this product yet, but I have been curious about cleansing water. Thanks for sharing your review!

    • You’re welcome, Christie! I’m happy to hear that you enjoyed reading it!

  • I’ve been wanting to try this, so this review is perfect timing for me. Thanks for sharing!

  • Sounds like an awesome product. That’s wonderful that a little goes a long way. Will have to try it out! 🙂

    • Thanks, Cara! I feel like you would love this product because it cuts time on your night routine! I think everyone needs that in their life!

  • I actually don’t like this one for removing make-up (I tend to wear a lot of eye makeup and found that it doesn’t remove makeup easily), but I love it in the morning and any time that I feel a need to refresh my skin. 🙂 I always have a bottle on hand. Thanks for your great review!

    • I have heard one or two negative comments that some people prefer to use Simple for their face makeup, and then use an eye makeup remover for the rest of their makeup! I guess it all comes down to what the person likes for their own routine. Thanks so much for your comment, Crystal!

  • I love Micellar water as well. Since I rarely wear makeup this stuff is the best.

    • Same! I feel like most days I just have on a little concealer, bronzer, mascara and my brows filled in–so it’s nice to have a product that’s good for those who wear little makeup! Other products seem too harsh for my skin personally. Thanks so much for your comment, Jenny!

I love this stuff! I recently bought it for my pre teen daughter and her skin is looking so great! Thank you for sharing your review!

    • You’re welcome! I’m so glad that your daughter loves it because I have nothing but positive feedback about it!

  • This couldn’t have come at a better time, I’m just now trying to revamp my skincare routine and get the cost down, I’ll have to give this a try!

    • What I love about Simple is that all of their products are affordable. For me, I’m just finishing grad school, so I need to stay on a budget for awhile! Their products are high quality and won’t break the bank!

  • I’ve used this micellar water a lot and I always loved it! Currently, I’m using almond oil for an oil cleansing method, but if I decide to stop, I’d definitely go back to using this product.

    • How do you like using oil as a cleanser? I’ve heard some people love it, but some people don’t. After trying both, do you prefer the cleansing water or a cleaning oil? Would love to know!

  • Oh I definitely need to pick this up! I’ve been using other similar products so I’m always on the hunt for something new.

    • You’ll love this one for sure! I’ve heard other brands dry out your skin a ton, but Simple is so hydrating and refreshing on your skin!
