Why and how are there only two months left in 2016? I feel like there is so much more I want to do before the end of the year; and there’s not enough time to get it all done. Here’s hoping these next two months will be productive and filled with accomplishing my goals.

In the meantime, grab a cup of coffee, tea or wine; and catch up on my posts from October.

September Review & October Goals

October Goals Reviewed:

1| Continue to work on Instagram | I would say that this was an accomplished goal for the month. I’ve kept up my engagement, consistency with posting and increased my engagement on other people’s content as well.

2| Participate in a Twitter chat | Guys, why can’t I find any Twitter chats that are relevant to me?! I think it might be a sign that I should start my own Twitter chat–let me know what you think and if you’d be interested in joining a Twitter chat with me!

3| Focus on Pinterest | Huge fail, but I’m perfectly okay with it. I knew that I was really pushing my limits with the blogging goals during a hard month for work, so it’s a give and take here.

4| Write 10-12 posts | YES! I’m happy to say I’ve held up on this particular goal because it can be so hard to consistently post three days a week, especially since I had a crazy month at work.

5| Collaborate with other bloggers | I saw two different opportunities to potential collaborate with bloggers I love; and my anxiety got the best of me. I fear making the first move to get the process going. I’m hoping to work on this and complete this goal by the end of the year.

1| Continue to focus on toning | Yes! This goal was accomplished and I couldn’t be happier! Hoping to keep it up through the end of fall and winter, too

2| Increase overall running distance | Achieved! There were several days where Josh and I increased our running distance and I definitely noticed an improvement in my running.

3| Read a book | DONE! There’s nothing better than reading a book and truly loving it, so I’m hoping to have this goal again for November, too!

4| Remove 10 more pieces from my closet | I can’t believe I did this! I am becoming more ruthless about getting rid of things. When I get in the mood to toss things, I let it happen.

5| Limit processed foods from my diet | Check! This was a goal that was easier to accomplish than I was expecting. I will definitely keep this up for November, too!

November Goals:

1| Plan my content calendar for December

It’s no secret I love Christmas. I’m hoping to put out a ton of holiday content for the Christmas season. This will require some extra planning and preparations in November, so I’ll be working hard on the blog this month especially!

2| Prep some holiday content in November

I don’t want to give too many details away on this, but I am doing something a little different this holiday season on the blog. And I’m happy to say that it will require a little bit of work and prep early in November to accomplish.

3| Focus on one social media channel for improvements

I don’t know what that platform will be because I’m constantly trying to improve all my social media channels throughout the month. But, I’m hoping to choose one channel and give it a ton of TLC for November.

4| Take more breaks from blogging

Although I am great about taking time off from blogging on the weekends, I know that I need to get better with my blogging routine altogether. I need to commit to a solid three hours of work on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I don’t have extra work on the weekends.

1| Read a book

This time of year is when I tend to read a little more because I can relax at night with a good book and enjoy it for the evening. I’m hoping to read, “The Color of Secrets.” I’ll let you know if it’s a book you should pick up!

2| Schedule self care

This month was a bad month for focusing on self care. I didn’t keep up with my journal like normal, and I wasted a lot of unnecessary time on social media and YouTube. So, I’m hoping to transform my routine to be more focused on self care and getting things done.

3| Transition into my winter workout routine

As the weather turns colder and darker, it’s time to take my daily workouts indoors. I want to transition my spring/summer/fall workout into my winter workout, which will consist of insanity DVDs and other workouts for different days.

1| Go on a beauty and fashion spending freeze

October was definitely an interesting month with spending. I don’t buy a lot anymore now that I’ve been incorporating minimalism into my life, but I did buy things I needed. Now, I am set for another month of no spending on beauty and fashion.

2| Save an extra $200 for Christmas

Whether it’s saving more on groceries for the month, or finding a way to make a little money on the side, I want to make sure I save more money this month for the holidays.

Bring it on, November! Did you accomplish all your goals for the month of October? What are your goals for November? Make sure to leave a comment below!

  • Girl, I hear you on the collaborative anxiety! I have this pretty massive idea swirling around in my head and the idea of people poo-pooing it or someone not being as into the idea as me but saying “okay” anyway, makes my heart explode and then I can’t do it! lol

    • I’m so glad there are other bloggers who know where I’m coming from with the anxiety of collaborating! Thank you so much for your comment, Katie!

  • Girl, you were on FIRE with all your goals this month! I’m so impressed! And getting 10-12 posts out on the blog?! Way to go! I’ve definitely noticed you upping your Insta game (and thank you SO much for being part of the #myvibrantlife movement) and I’m so excited to see what you have planned for the holidays because CHRISTMAS IS MY FAVORITE!

    • We both share a love for Christmas! And I have been loving the content on your hashtag! I’m so happy it has been gaining attention in the community!

  • Your November goals sound very similar to my goals. The collaboration opportunities just come up and the ones that hit you make you jump on them. I will be featured by two bloggers and I’m going to be a podcast guest also. It’s going to be an awesome month!

    • WOW! That’s so incredible, Mindy! You are definitely going to kill it this month with all that you have planned.

  • AWESOME goals, Kiara! You’re rocking it. I have noticed that Twitter chats have died out for awhile now, which saddens me, as a total Twitter lover and someone who LOVES and finds Twitter chats so valuable as bloggers! I’d be interested in seeing what you’d come up with!

    • I’m truly considering it at this point because I loved participating in Twitter chats to learn from other bloggers. I was wondering if there was a way to host a chat with the BPP community? Would love to know your thoughts on this! 🙂

      • We actually used to have #PassionChat and I loved hosting it, but overtime, it lost momentum as less and less people would show up. It wasn’t worth my time to research topics and host a chat if two people were coming lol!! We may start it back up in the new year sometime, but it’s not a priority! You’re more than welcome to advertise yours to our group though!

  • Good luck with your goals this month! Can’t wait to see how well you do 🙂

  • Excited to see what you’ll be sharing during the holiday season! I’m getting geared up for some fun posts this season too! Best of luck on reaching all your goals this month!

    • Thank you so much, Cara! I’m so excited as I’m looking toward the holiday season! Good luck with any goals you have planned for the month, too!

  • I’d join you for a twitter chat! It always depends on the time for me though — most of the chats I’ve been interested in start at 2 or 3am, so that doesn’t work very well. 😉 Great job on your goals!

    • Thank you so much for your sweet comment! I definitely appreciate it! I would want to make sure the chat was at a good time and day for people, but it can always be difficult to plan!

  • Wendie Schneider

I am with you on self care, AND collaborating with other bloggers. I don’t really know how to go about this, or what it would be exactly…

    • Self care is so important, and I’m hoping I can create a concrete routine that I dedicate time to consistently.

  • Desire Chanteuse

My goals for November are similar to yours! I’ll be working on building my Instagram following and improving my health.

    • Good luck as you work toward your goals for the month, Desire! Thank you for your comment!

    • I am definitely there with you, Rachel! I’m constantly working on my closet 🙂

  • Great job on your goals last month!! That’s awesome that you have been working on toning and growing your running distance. I hope to continue to kick my butt into gear over the winter months to be ready for the summer. I know it’s going to come fast! I have never participated in a Twitter chat. I have been trying to utilize Twitter more. I can’t wait to see what you have planned for your upcoming content. I need to figure out what I want to do for the holidays. Self care is so important and so is taking a break from blogging. Good luck with your goals this month!!!

    • Thank you so much for your comment! I’m so excited to share the holiday-inspired content with everyone seeing as I am a Christmas lover! Good luck with all your goals for the month as well!

  • Way to go on your goals last month!! You crushed them. And I can’t wait to see what you have in store for the holiday months… This is my absolute favorite time of the year! 😀

I’m so impressed you were able to write 10-12 posts! I can barely write 7 posts per month & I don’t even have a full time job. I feel like I’m slacking!
