October Favorites

There are officially two months left in 2015. Autumn has always been my favorite time of the year, but it seems to be the time that goes by too quick. October was an amazing month for new beauty and fashion products, so I’m happy to share them with you all in my newest (and long overdue) favorites post.

1.Francesca’s Blanket Scarf: ($34)

This scarf is comfortable and works perfectly for this time of year. I love wrapping myself in a warm scarf throughout fall and winter; so I’ve been wearing this scarf a ton throughout October. I know I’ll be using it even more once winter comes.

2. OGX Acai Berry Avocado Shampoo and Conditioner: ($7.99)

I bought this in September, and I’ve used it so much throughout the past two months. I love how silky this shampoo and conditioner leaves my hair. I switch between the Acai Berry Avocado and another OGX collection. I’ve noticed a positive change in my hair since making the switch to these products. My hair is stronger, healthier and free of dead ends.

3. Lily Pulitzer Wild Confetti Planner: ($28)

This planner is life-changing. I use it constantly for to-do lists, reminders, and scheduling blog content, appointments, school assignments and more. It’s where I keep any important information for the upcoming week. I’ve noticed my life is less hectic with this planner. And, it’s nice to know I won’t worry about buying a new one for 17 months.

4. Cup O’ Coffee: ($10.95)

I’m a coffee lover, so Cup O’ Coffee has been a staple in my routine throughout October. I try to use it once a week on my face, elbows, knees and other places where my skin needs a little extra TLC from the dry and damaging weather change. If you’re not a fan of coffee or cocoa, I wouldn’t recommend this product to you. But to my fellow coffee lovers—rejoice!

5. Sephora Rose Sheet Mask: ($6)

This is my favorite product in my October favorites. I saw these masks at Spehora and fell in love. Since then, I’ve purchased five throughout the month to use on my skin. My face has been so dull and dry from the weather, and these masks help with moisturizing and brightening my skin. You look like a wannabe Mike Meyers from Halloween, but it’s okay if you’re alone in the comfort of your own home.

6. Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte Body Care Collection: ($12-$14)

Out of all the autumn body care collections from Bath & Body Works, this one is my favorite. Marshmallow is one of my favorite scents for fall and winter. It’s a soft, comforting smell that makes taking a shower feel cozy.

7. Batiste Dry Shampoo: ($7.99)

For those who don’t know, I live off of dry shampoo. I typically wash my hair two or three times a week, so dry shampoo is a necessity. I’ve tried so many bands throughout the last three years, but Batiste has been my favorite. I’ve been using this brand since July and it’s definitely worth the money. There are several scents you can choose from, but I always choose Cherry.

8 .Estēe Lauder Lipstick: ($30)

I talked about this lipstick in my fall makeup routine.  This is the lipstick that I wear almost everyday, unless I’m going for a bold lip color like purple. Some people don’t like the idea of spending a lot of money on lipstick, but I think it’s worth the splurge if you truly love the quality and color of the product.

9. Bath & Body Works Fall Candle Collection: ($22.50)

Some of my absolute favorites are: Marshmallow Fireside, Radiant Red Maple, Autumn and Sweater Weather. I tend to stock up on fall and winter candles far more than spring and summer candles. Bath & Body Work’s fall and winter candle collections are my favorite.

10. Boot Cuffs (from Francesca’s and local boutqiues): ($10-$14)

These have been my favorite accessory to add with leggings and riding boots or booties. They don’t  scrunch up in your boots, which can be uncomfortable if you have knee-high socks with leggings or skinny jeans. I love how they add a feminine touch to my outfits with minimal effort.

11. Old Navy Faux Suede Booties: ($42.94)

These booties have been on my feet nonstop since I bought them in early October. They’re so comfortable to wear to work (even when you’re on your feet for six hours). And, I’ve been getting so many compliments on them because I pair them with my boot cuffs. You can say I’ve been in the fall spirit this month with my accessories.

  • that blanket scarf looks so cozy! My favorite products this month have been my face balms and oils. It’s been weirdly dry out and my skin has been feeling it.

What face oils have you been using? Are there any would you recommend? I’m currently looking at suggestions for face oils because my skin is just like yours–it gets dull and dry in winter. Any help would be truly appreciated! Thanks so much for your comment 🙂

  • Every time I see a blanket scarf I tell myself I need to get one and then I still don’t! I’m going to start hunting my perfect blanket scarf down!

I love them so much, and I’m definitely looking to add another one to my collection. Are you looking for a blanket scarf with a particular pattern or color? Maybe I can help you hunt one down 😉 haha. Thanks so much for your comment.

  • I LOVE the Batistie dry shampoo for brunettes! I always struggle with white powder in my hair, but it’s so awesome that they make one for brunettes/dark redheads so that no one can see it if I layer it on, haha! Also, B&BW candles are so awesome. I’m loving the Salted Caramel one right now!

Chelsie, I haven’t tried or seen the Salted Caramel from B&BW!? I need that in my life ASAP! And yes, I’ve tried the Batiste for brunettes and needless to say–it’s a life-saver for me 🙂 Thanks so much for your comment.
