August was a whirlwind.

I have SO MANY amazing things transpiring in my life, and I feel so blessed. I can’t wait to share them with you in upcoming posts on the blog, so stay tuned for new content and some exciting announcements. Make sure to let me know what’s been going on in your life recently and how your month was in the comments below!

Monthly Favorites:

1| Working Out

I have amped up my fitness routine to 4 or 5 days a week, and I have noticed a huge change in my mental health and well-being altogether. I have felt so good from the extra strength training I’ve been doing this month, and I hope to continue it in September, too. If you’re hoping to work out more, let this be encouragement to try new workouts and put your health first!

2| Home Decor Inspiration

HINT HINT. Need I say more? 😉

3| Focusing on personal goals

If you haven’t caught up on my vision board series, you’re going to want to check that out because I swear by vision boards to help me achieve my goals. And let’s just say that I’ve been working so hard to keep up with my personal goals and working on bettering myself. August was the month of accomplishing goals that I’ve only dreamed of accomplishing years from now. I can’t wait to share those in an upcoming post.

Sharing Love:

1| The Importance of Traveling

This post is so near and dear to my heart because I’ve been struggled a little with the same things talked about in this post. Adriana covers a lot in this post that reminded me that fear isn’t the option we should take in life, especially when it comes to traveling. One, because there are so many good people in the world; and two, letting fear in removes opportunities to educate yourself and explore the world.

2| TED Talks That Will Inspire You To Live Minimally

YASSSS to all of these TED talks in this post. As a minimalist who is inspired to live an intentional, blissful life, I am absolutely inspired by these videos and definitely encourage people to watch them even if they have the slightest interest in living more minimally. Remember, you don’t have to think of minimalism as an extreme, but rather a versatile lifestyle that can work for any person! One of my favorite videos is “The Masterpiece of a Simple Life.”

3| 28 Movies For Your Quarter Life Crisis

I think I began my quarter-life crisis back at 21…and no, I’m not kidding. I loved all of Rachel’s recommendations here and she event listed one of my all-time favorite movies, “Good Will Hunting.” She also shared some other movies that I’ve been wanting to watch for awhile now like “Wild” and “Dead’s Poet Society.” Let me know in the comments if you’ve gone through a quarter life crisis and how you handled it because let me tell you…the struggle is real.

4| Breaking The Cycle of Social Comparison

#ThingsINeedToStopDoing. TBH This post was incredible because I feel that so many people can benefit from reading it.  Amanda is amazing with her advice and her examples of how to get over the comparison game. Let’s stop comparing ourselves to others and downplaying our achievements in life. Life is complicated enough and placing that extra weight on yourself isn’t healthy. If you’re caught in the comparison game, I highly recommend reading this.

5| Hustling Hard And Getting Nowhere

“Do the things that bring you joy. Everything else is irrelevant.” Man, did this post SPEAK to me. You know when you read the right blog post as the right time when you’re not expecting it? That was this post for me. I love the tips Megan dishes out like taking time to enjoy doing nothing and taking a break from social media. This post resonated with me so much, and if you’re feeling some struggle with hustling—you’re going to want to read this post.

Kiara, you have an awesome list here! I have not read all though, but I really love your series on creating a vision board. I haven’t seen anyone yet succeeding without target or focus . I’m just reasoning, if you have goals, then you need a driver. The driver here is your vision board. I have written on a similar topic-setting goals in business-. I have also created a vision board to keep me in focus. Unfortunately, I fail to follow it. Perhaps, because I get distracted doing other things.
But after reading this post, I’m going to do a revaluation of my vision board and also commit to following it. Thanks for adding value to me.

    • You’re very welcome, girl! I’m so happy to hear the series was helpful to you by making you rethink your vision board for yourself and your goals. That’s exactly why I wanted to write those posts.

  • Aw thank you for your feature! That means so much to me and was such a lovely surprise just now! I’m looking forward to your upcoming vision board post 🙂

    • Thanks Amanda, and I’m so happy to hear this made you a little more blissful! 🙂 Loved your post and I was happy to share it!

  • Yay good on you for accomplishing those goals! I can’t wait to hear all about them 🙂 I really need to get into a better workout routine, it always makes me feel so good but it’s a struggle to motivate myself to do it. I did these yoga routine last night and it has killed my arms!
Thanks so much for including my post <3

    • You’re welcome, Megan! It was a perfectly timed post for me to read so thank YOU for writing it and sharing your story! 🙂

  • I’ve never tried making a vision board. I’ll have to try it soon. Loved the social comparison post! It’s way too easy to make unnecessary comparisons these days.

    • I agree, Amanda. It can be way too easy for us to only live by comparing our lives to others. Let’s work on not comparing ourselves so we can keep progressing 🙂
