bbphotoWinter can be a difficult time for skin. The good news is that you can easily add the bliss back into your skincare routine with some simple, effective tips that will leave your skin clear, bright and feeling wonderful. Here are my top three suggestions:

When in doubt, hydrate:

Your body and your skin suffer from dehydration in the winter. It’s important to drink as much water throughout the day to flush out any toxins and keep your skin clear. Track your water intake by keeping a water bottle with you throughout the day. You’ll notice a significant decrease in acne, dryness and dullness. Make water your BFF.

Try DIY:

Use natural products to help repair your skin. Some great options are honey, strawberries, yogurt and lemons. Give your skin a break from acne treatments and moisturizers, which contain chemicals that cause irritation to skin. Natural alternatives will cleanse your skin and repair it from any damages.

Reduce stress:

Whether you’re stressed from school, work, an internship or a relationship, try to remove any unnecessary stress in your life. Your skin is more prone to stress acne during winter, so finding ways to relax throughout the week is important for your skin and for your overall health. Here are some easy ways to reduce stress.
