5 Places I Go To For Inspiration

Blogging can be difficult. There’s always on pressure on bloggers to create something new instead of curating ideas from the other million posts in the digital world. Sometimes, finding inspiration for new ideas isn’t easy, which is why I decided to share my five go-to places when I’m looking for some inspiration for my blog.

Other Bloggers:

There are many bloggers out there that don’t take the time to read posts from other bloggers in their niche. If this is you, you’re missing out. I’m constantly reading, engaging and learning about blogging and writing from other bloggers. It’s a simple way to learn what other bloggers are creating, and how you might be able to apply those ideas to your next post.

I’m not going to lie, I watch a ton of YouTube. Although the majority of the YouTubers I watch are famous and above my level, I always go to them first for inspiration. I don’t make videos (I’m looking to start really soon) but you can find inspiration from videos, and apply that to written content. So when you have some spare time, check out videos from Tess, Zoella, and others!

Pinterest is always on my list because you can find everything on their site. There are days where I can read, repin, repeat for hours at a time. Pinterest also inspires me because of its layoutโ€”it’s simple, visually appealing and gets me in the right mind when I’m searching for some much-needed inspiration. It also helps me find new bloggers and websites, too!

Yes, I am a magazine hoarder and lover. Magazines like Glamour, Good Housekeeping, Cosmo and Better Homes are some of the many magazines I go to for inspiration. I love looking through magazines because they make me feel like I’m trying to create content for my own online magazine. So, I try to use that as a drive to get my creative wheels turning. It always works!

When all else fails, I go outside. I’m always surprised how much nature inspires me to create content. I’ll take a walk, or look through nature photos as I am thinking of ideas for upcoming posts. Nature never seems to fail me. It’s a resource I come back to time and time again, and I never leave disappointed. So next time you’re lacking inspiration for creativity, go outside.
