BB32316_3 Spring Trends 2016(1)I’m definitely feeling spring fever. I love going shopping, and seeing all of the bright colors and new trends for the season. As I’ve been shopping for new items, there have been three consistent trends I’ve been seeing in a ton of stores for spring. So, I decided to share three spring details you should try this season!

Pom-poms:

I don’t know if you have read about the pom-pom trend, but it’s a fast-growing trend in the fashion world. For example, take a look at this article on pom-pom nails (yes you read that correctly). Now, I’m sure I would ever try pom-pom nails, but this is a trend that I could see working well with a vibrant clutch, or a bohemian-inspired clutch. This detail can easily elevate your look if you’re going to a music festival or spend the day at the beach. I’ve also seen this trend in home decor for decorative pillows and throw blankets. However you incorporate this trend in your life, it will add a lot of color!

Tassels:

Whether you complete your look with a tassel necklace or tassel detailing on a top or dress, it will make a statement for your spring outfit. Now, I know this is a trend you might love or hate, but if you’re skeptical, you can always opt for a tassel key chain to add on your handbag. I’ve been spotting this trend everywhere recently, and it’s beginning to grow on me. I don’t know if I would wear this trend consistently, but it wouldn’t hurt to incorporate it into a spring or summer outfit when the occasion is appropriate.

Fringe:

Fringe took the fashion world by storm in its prime back in the 70s. But, you know what they say, trends from previous decades are coming back in style. The 70s and 90s are particularly popular right now in terms of fashion trends. What I love about fringe is that it’s a simple way to completely change your look to create a relaxed, bohemian vibe. Whether you style an outfit with a pair of sandals with fringe detailing or a handbag with fringe detailingβ€”you will make a statement for sure.

  • I just can’t get on board with these. Really, pom-pom nails? I guess I do have a throw pillow with pom-poms. Does that count?

    • It really does count! Even if you feel like you can’t wear them, you can bring the trends into your home as well, which can be popular!

I think the only trend I can get behind this year is the tassel. I have a couple of tassel necklaces and I love them especially the longer lengths.

    • I can understand that. I feel like the tassel trend is a little easier to make your own look with–without overdoing it. I’ve been loving the longer necklaces with tassels on them as well!

  • YES! I’m behind all of these trends – they’re so cute & fun!

    • I completely agree! Very fun with summer a few months away. Thanks so much for your comment, Rachel!

  • Never would I have imagined that these would be trends! I don’t know if I could pull any of them off.

    • That’s why I always recommend trying to incorporate them into your look very subtly with a tassel necklace or pom-pom detailing on the bottom of a small bag.

  • super cute trends to try! not a fan of all of them, but definitely open to trying some πŸ™‚ I still want to try feather skirts from a million years ago haha. I’m so behind the times πŸ˜›

    • Sometimes being behind on the times could get you ahead–if that makes sense. Wow, I feel like there was a little inception there for a minute, but you know where I was going with that! Thanks for your comment, Tianna!

      • haha I get what you mean!

  • i’m no fashionista by any means (yoga pants 24/7 please! haha) but I’ve been seeing some CUTE fringe stuff lately! I don’t know that I can get behind the pom poms, but we’ll see, maybe if I’ feeling brave! πŸ˜‰

    • Be brave and try something new! That’s always my motto. If you truly hate it, return if for something fringe!

  • Christine White

Those are some pretty fun trends! Maybe not all in one outfit though, haha! That’d be interesting.

    • Could you imagine what the outfit would look like? I’m sure if you could pull off a 70s-inspired meets bohemian/southern look. Haha!

The fringe shoes have grown on me in the last year, they’re super cute!! Still not too sure about the pompoms, they’re cute but not sure if they’re for me!

    • I feel the same about pom pom items. Sometimes, it can be way overdone. But, who knows, maybe we will have pom pom everything in our closets by the end of summer!

      • Cat

        Hahaha probably! πŸ™‚

  • Tassels and pom poms are my favorite πŸ™‚

    xoxo, Jenny

    • I love both of them as well! Pom poms were a little too much for me at first, but they are truly growing on me!

  • Bree Hogan

A good excuse to get my tassels out again!

    • Good thing you stocked up some items with tassels on them!

  • Rebecca Sapough
